Terms of Service

Effective 1 July 2026 · The Product Partners Limited

These terms govern your use of the Elder iOS app, provided by The Product Partners Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

Your account

You sign in with LinkedIn and must be at least 16 years old to use Elder. You're responsible for keeping access to your LinkedIn account secure. You can delete your Elder account at any time from the You tab, which removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

What Elder is, and isn't

Elder provides AI-generated career coaching based on a personality assessment. It's designed to help you think, prepare, and reflect. It is not professional careers advice, legal advice, financial advice, or therapy, and its personality results are indicative tools rather than clinical or psychometric instruments. Decisions about your career are yours, and you should use your own judgement, especially for significant ones such as resigning, negotiating, or accepting an offer.

AI responses can be wrong, incomplete, or generic despite our best efforts. We don't guarantee any particular outcome from following the app's coaching.

Subscriptions

Elder offers a free tier with limited daily coaching messages, and a PRO subscription that removes those limits.

  • PRO is available as a monthly ($4.99/month) or yearly ($49.99/year) auto-renewing subscription. Prices in your local currency are shown in the app before purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

  • The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy.

Acceptable use

Don't use Elder to do anything unlawful, to harass others, to attempt to extract or reverse-engineer our systems or prompts, or to overload or interfere with the service. We can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Your content and our rights

You own the content you put into Elder: your answers, messages, and meeting notes. You give us the licence we need to store and process that content to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. The app itself, including its design, assessment model, and coaching system, belongs to us, and these terms don't transfer any of it to you.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under law. Beyond that, the app is provided as-is, and our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms over time. If a change to these terms is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Elder after that, the new terms apply. You can stop using the service and delete your account whenever you like.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
